Services
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy provides confidential, one-to-one psychological treatment with a registered psychologist. Sessions offer a supportive space to explore emotional, behavioural, and mental health concerns, and to work towards improved wellbeing.
Therapy is tailored to the individual and informed by evidence-based psychological approaches. It may assist with concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, adjustment difficulties, grief and loss, relationship issues, and self-esteem.
Services are provided in accordance with the professional and ethical standards of the Psychology Board of Australia. Informed consent and confidentiality apply, with limits explained at the commencement of therapy. This service is not a crisis or emergency service.
Assessment Services
Psychological assessment services for children and adolescents provide comprehensive evaluation of cognitive, academic, and neuropsychological functioning. Assessments may include neuropsychological, cognitive, and educational testing to better understand a child’s strengths, difficulties, and learning profile.
Assessments are commonly conducted to investigate learning difficulties, attention and executive functioning concerns, developmental differences, academic underachievement, and other neurodevelopmental or psychological factors impacting learning and everyday functioning. Where appropriate, assessments may inform diagnosis, treatment planning, and recommendations for educational support and accommodations.
All assessments are conducted in accordance with Australian professional and ethical standards, with results discussed in detail with parents or caregivers and provided in a written report. Please contact the clinic for further information.
Fees and Payment
Fees apply to all psychology services and are payable on the day of the appointment unless otherwise arranged.
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy sessions are charged at a standard session rate. Session length and fees will be discussed prior to commencement of services.
Assessment Services
Psychological assessments (including cognitive, neuropsychological, and educational assessments) are charged based on the scope and complexity of the assessment. Fees generally include assessment planning, test administration, scoring, interpretation, report writing, and feedback. A written quote outlining the estimated total cost will be provided prior to commencement.
Medicare
Medicare rebates may be available for eligible clients with a valid referral under the Better Access initiative. Rebates are not available for most assessment services. Clients are responsible for any gap between the Medicare rebate and the service fee.
NDIS
Psychological services may be provided to NDIS participants in accordance with their current NDIS plan. Fees are charged in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits where applicable. Services must be related to the participant’s funded supports, and prior approval or a service agreement may be required. Medicare rebates cannot be claimed for NDIS-funded services.
Private Health Insurance
Clients are advised to check with their private health insurer regarding eligibility for rebates, noting that private health rebates cannot be claimed for services also funded by Medicare or the NDIS.
Cancellations and Non-Attendance
Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or non-attendance, may incur a cancellation fee of up to the full session fee, including for NDIS-funded appointments, in accordance with NDIS guidelines.
